The thing that made me stay at Arty Hostel was definitely the view from their balcony. And I was not disappointed. The Hostel is located above a vegetarian Restaurant in one of Lisbons typical colourfull houses in a quiet street. The interior style is individual and creative, without trying to be something it's not. I arrived before check-in time but was given a short tour and my keyes immediatly.
The common area is located on 2 small floors connected by beautifull old wooden stairs. They lead all the way up to the roof were another surprise awaits the curious guest. A tiny rooftop terasse gives you a stunning 360 degree view of Lissbon. Truly breathtaking!
Breakfast is served right infront of the nice terasse, also feautering a beautifull view of the citys orange rooftops. There's a small kitchen free to use and they do laundry.
The dorm holds 8 beds and is a bit cramped. At night the noise from people in the common room is quite loud because everything is so close together. But the beds are really comfortable. There's a nicely siced and clean bathroom as well as a second one in the common area.
